Andrzej Szejna submitted a notification of suspected crime to the prosecutor’s office and the National Labor Inspectorate in the case of Minister Michał Cieślak. – Dismissal is not enough, in our opinion, the matter is not over; the minister has exceeded his powers – said the MP from the Left.

MP Andrzej Szejna stated on Saturday that the resignation of Minister Michał Cieślak, in connection with his complaint against the head of the post office in Pacanów, was insufficient. He also informed that he had reported the case to the prosecutor’s office and the National Labor Inspectorate.

– In our opinion, this matter is not over, the fact that Minister Cieślak was dismissed is obvious. This is not only and only the only possible and sufficient punishment. I have submitted a notification of suspicion of a crime committed by Minister Cieślak of exceeding his powers. I hope finally the prosecutor’s office Zbigniew Ziobro he will deal with ordinary matters of Poles, such as persecution at work, such as persecution due to political views – Szejna said on Saturday in Kielce.

The deputy head of the Left added that he had also submitted a notification in this matter to the National Labor Inspectorate. In his opinion, PiP should check whether in this situation there has been a violation of the regulations and mobbing on the part of the president and director of the Kielce region of Poczta Polska.

– I am convinced that these cases should be resolved at the level of the prosecutor’s office and PiP. In a democratic country, it cannot be that someone is punished for their political views, for telling the truth – he added.

The case of the head of the post office from Pacanów

Agnieszka Głazek, the head of the post office from Pacanów (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship), was threatened with losing her job after She entered into a discussion with the minister for local government, Michał Cieślak. The conversation between her and the minister took place on June 3 at a Polish Post office.

The woman decided to talk to the politician about high prices. In an interview with TVN24, she told about the situation and admittedthat she was agitated and carried away by emotions. Shortly after talking to the minister, she received a phone call from the director’s office in Kielce. She was called “on the rug”.

– The director told me that I would be disciplinary dismissed because I was subject to a ministerial complaint, because I talked about political issues with Mr. Cieślak. He accused me of using profanity, which was not true – she told Gazeta Wyborcza.


Michał Cieślak resigns

Alone Cieślak explained his behavior on Wednesday in conversation with journalists. – First of all, I want to say that I am sorry that such a situation even happened. I want to say here that my intention was not that someone would complain about the situation, that they wanted to have a better job, earn more. This applies to all of us, everyone would like to have a better job, earn better and have lower credit – he said.

However, on the same day he informed on Twitter that after talking to the deputy prime minister Jarosław Kaczyński and president of the Republican Party Adam Bielan“guided by the good United Right“, decided to resign as minister in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. The Republican Party recommended Włodzimierz Tomaszewski to replace Cieślak.

On the same day, Poczta Polska announced that the head of the Post Office in Pacanów would continue to work in her current position and under current conditions.

– I believe that the case of Michał Cieślak is closed; he acted honorably, resigning from the function of a minister in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and thus left himself opportunities for the future – commented the Deputy Prime Minister, President PIS Jaroslaw Kaczynski.
