Deputy Minister of Culture and National Heritage Andrzej Wyrobiec submitted his resignation from his position to Prime Minister Donald Tusk – the ministry announced on Tuesday. The statement did not specify the reason for this decision.
According to the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, following the resignation of Andrzej Wyrobec from his position, “supervision over the departments he coordinated will be taken over by Minister Hanna Wróblewska.” The statement did not specify the reason for the deputy minister's decision.
Resignation of the deputy minister
Andrzej Wyrobiec was born in 1964 in Chrzanów. He is a graduate of History and Journalism Studies at the Pedagogical University of Krakow and postgraduate studies at the University of Economics in Krakow, majoring in Accounting and Finance.
In the years 1989-94, Wyrobiec was the program director of the Student Cultural Center “Pod Jaszczurami” and director of student song festivals in Krakow. Until 2006 ran a businesswas a partner, proxy and member of the management board of an advertising agency.
Wyrobiec sat on the Supervisory Board of Radio Kraków SA (2002-2006), and in the period 2007-2009 he was vice-chairman of the Supervisory Board of MPL Kraków – Balice Sp. z o. o. In the years 2005-2014 he was a counselor of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Krakow. In 1991, he joined the Liberal Democratic Congress. He was a member of the Freedom Union and, since 2001, the Civic Platform.
He was deputy treasurer (2006-2009), and then PO treasurer (2009-2010) and financial representative of all PO election committees. In 2010, he became the financial representative of the presidential candidate's election committee Bronisław Komorowski. From 2010 to 2013, he was the secretary general of the Civic Platform.
Andrzej Wyrobiec – who is he?
From 2014 to 2015, Andrzej Wyrobiec served as Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. From January 2018 to September 2019, he worked as the plenipotentiary of the general director of the Philharmonic. Karol Szymanowski in Krakow for the construction of the Music Center in Krakow. In 2020, he became the director of the Bagatela Theater. Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński in Krakow.
In December 2023, he was re-appointed as Deputy Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
