It was not possible to save a 53-year-old man who fell out of the bucket of a tractor excavator in Derło (Lubelskie Voivodeship) and was run over by a tractor. The police, under the supervision of the prosecutor, are clarifying the details of the incident. The 25-year-old tractor driver was drunk.

The incident took place on Monday (April 24) around 3.30 p.m. at the intersection of provincial road No. 698 with a municipal road near Derło in the Biała district.

– Preliminary findings show that a 25-year-old tractor driver ran over a man he was transporting on a bucket attached to the tractor – informs Commissioner Barbara SalczyÅ„ska-Pyrchla from the Municipal Police Headquarters in BiaÅ‚a Podlaska.

The 53-year-old was resuscitated. Unsuccessfully.

– The body has been secured for autopsy. The 25-year-old driver was intoxicated. He had more than two times the legal limit of alcohol in his system. He was arrested by the police. When he sobers up, activities will be carried out with him – says tvn24.pl SalczyÅ„ska-Pyrchla.

The police – under the supervision of the prosecutor – are clarifying the details of the incident.
