Serious accident on national road number 62. At the Skuszew junction, two cars collided: a van and a passenger car. The police reported that two people were taken to hospital. Two men traveling in the van were drunk, one fled after the accident.
As reported on social media by the Wyszków police, a serious road accident involving an Audi and a Peugeot van occurred on national road DK 62. As noted, the Audi driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
There were traffic disruptions.
The bus passengers were drunk
Police belt officer in Wyszków, junior cadet Wioleta Szymanik, told tvnwarszawa.pl that a man travelling in the Peugeot was also injured. It turned out that there was another person in the car. – There were two men travelling in the bus. One was taken to hospital with injuries right after the incident, and the other fled the scene. He has already been identified and detained – the policewoman noted.
It turned out that the man who was taken to hospital was drunk. – He had over two per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air. At the time of his arrest, the second man was also drunk and also had over two per mille. The police will now establish which of them was driving the car – added the spokeswoman.
According to initial police findings, the accident was most likely caused by the Audi driver, who was trying to force the right of way. That's when the collision occurred.
