A total of five vehicles collided on Friday evening on the national “50” on the Żyrardów bypass: three trucks and two passenger cars. The firefighters informed that two people had been transferred to the hospital. On the same road, a second collision took place a moment later.
– Two people went to the hospital, but they are not seriously injured. The job of firefighters is to deal with the aftermath of an incident in the overtaking lane. The road was blocked at this point. Another fire brigade is working on the spot – Jarosław Belina from the fire brigade in Żyrardów passed us over after 7 p.m. He added that there were no more traffic problems in this place and the trucks were not carrying hazardous substances.
The incident took place around 4pm. According to the reporter of tvnwarszawa.pl Mateusz Szmelter, one of the trucks hit the noise barriers. – As a result of the impact, the semi-trailer broke away and you could see the scattered cargo on the road. The cabin was also damaged – our reporter pointed out. Passenger cars are also seriously damaged. “One has a broken roof and front, and the other has a broken front and rear,” Shmelter described.
Soon after this accident, another incident took place on the same road, but near the village of Wiskitki. – Four passenger cars collided. Two people require assistance, the fireman said.
