“Tourists exceeded the safety limit on the beach”

According to local authorities and witnesses, at the time of the accident, high waves remained in the Atlantic Ocean in the area and a red flag was hung on the mast on the beach.

“According to the findings so far, the tourists exceeded the safety limit (marked by buoys – ed.) on the beach and were pulled deeper by strong currents, intensified by unusually high waves,” reported “El Nuevo Diario”.
