Two Poles drowned in Bavaro in the Dominican Republic, and the third one is wanted, the Polish honorary consul confirmed to RMF FM.
The tragedy occurred on the beach belonging to one of the hotels in Bavaro in the Dominican Republic. According to RMF FM, two Polish tourists – a woman and a man – were brought to the shore, but despite resuscitation by rescuers, they could not be saved.
In turn, the local portal bavarodigital.net reported that three foreigners drowned there on Friday, including two Poles, and one is wanted.
According to the website, they probably crossed the line marking a safe swimming spot and were carried away by the sea current. Bavarodigital.net wrote that the Emergency Operations Center had issued a warning two days earlier that conditions along the coast were deteriorating.
The editorial office of Kontakt 24 contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on this matter. We are waiting for your reply.
