Former U.S. President Donald Trump is on his way to Atlanta, Georgia, where he will turn himself in to authorities and face charges for his work to reverse the state’s 2020 presidential election. CNN stressed that Trump is expected to be released quickly from Fulton County jail after posting his $200,000 bail.

Last Monday, investigators in Fulton County, Georgia, placed a bet Donald Trump 13 counts, the main of which is participation in a criminal group, the purpose of which was to illegally subvert the results elections 2020 in this condition. Along with him, 18 other people will face charges, including his former lawyer Rudy Giuliani and White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. Trump will hand himself over to the authorities

The former president also announced his appearance in the Fulton County Jail on Thursday USA. The CNN portal reported before 10 p.m. PT that Trump had left his golf club in New Jersey for Atlanta.

“I need to get ready to travel to Atlanta, Georgia, where murder and other violent crimes have reached unprecedented levels, to be ARRESTED by Radical Left District Attorney Fani Willis,” Trump tweeted on his TRUTH Social website on Thursday.

CNN stressed that Trump is expected to be released soon. His lawyers negotiated bail of $200,000 with the authorities, and the former president refrained from intimidating witnesses and co-defendants, including through social media.

Trump’s legal problems

Georgia investigators have charged Trump with 13 counts, the main of which is participation in a criminal group whose aim is to illegally overturn the results of the 2020 election in that state.

Earlier, Trump was indicted in courts in Washington, where he was accused of illegally trying to stay in power, in Florida, in a case involving the withholding of classified documents, and in New York, where state authorities accused him of concealing payment of silence to a porn actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election campaign.
