President-elect of the United States Donald Trump On Saturday, he nominated Chris Wright, an entrepreneur and CEO of Liberty Energy, as the Minister of Energy. Its task is to “reduce administrative bureaucracy” in order to stimulate investment in fossil fuels.

“As Secretary of Energy, Chris will be a key leader driving innovation, cutting red tape and ushering in a new 'golden age of American prosperity and world peace,'” Trump wrote in a news release.

Chris Wright is a staunch supporter of the use of fossil fuels and is the founder and CEO of Liberty Energy, a Denver-based oil services company. According to Reuters, Wright is expected to support Trump's plan to maximize oil and gas production and look for ways to increase electricity production.

Wright calls activists for climate change alarmists and compared the Democrats' actions to fight global warming to Soviet-style communism. – There is no climate crisis and we are not in the middle of an energy transition, either – he said in a video posted on his LinkedIn profile last year.
