Donald Tusk criticized Jaroslaw Kaczynski for “not making any decisions” despite having “all power”. “Our leader escaped from the battlefield” – summed up the head of the Civic Platform.
On Thursday, Donald Tusk wrote in social media about Jarosław Kaczyński that he “disappeared at the most critical moment for Poland”.
“He has all the power in his hand, and does not make any decisions. Decisions on which the lives of thousands of people and the security of the country depend. Our leader escaped from the battlefield” – assessed the head of the Platform.
Jarosław Kaczyński – deputy prime minister for security
Jarosław Kaczyński, in addition to managing Law and Justice, formally serves as the deputy prime minister of the government and is the chairman of the Committee of the Council of Ministers for National Security and Defense Affairs.
In October, Kaczyński confirmed the emerging unofficial information that he intended to leave the government.
In recent days, reluctant government politicians have criticized Kaczyński for his inactivity regarding the crises Poland is struggling with. They indicated three main ones: the epidemic situation, the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border, as well as high prices and inflation.
The deputy prime minister for security did not participate in the crisis team organized by President Andrzej Duda on Thursday. The government meeting was attended by, among others, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak, Minister of Interior Mariusz Kamiński and head of the Prime Minister’s Office Michał Dworczyk.
