Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at the last government meeting this year that next year will be a year of a positive breakthrough. He also said that Poland “will be a place that the whole world will talk about with appreciation, not only because we defended democracy, but because we are building this great civilizational success.”
Opening the government meeting, the Prime Minister admitted that last year was difficult and “one big challenge.” Addressing the ministers, he emphasized that most of them were aware of what a difficult task they were undertaking when taking over the government after Law and Justice.

He added that the last hours of 2024 showed how big a problem Poland was struggling with after years of legal chaos. He referred to Monday's decision NECwhich adopted the financial report of the committee PIS from the 2023 parliamentary elections.
– I look at the Minister of Finance and he is another example of how much resilience and certainty of moral and legal advice is needed to conduct Polish affairs well – he said to Andrzej Domański Tusk.

Tusk thanked the ministers and all Poles for their understanding and patience. – Certainly everyone, regardless of their views, would like the upcoming year to be easier, without conflicts – he added. – What we inherited forces us to make difficult decisions and they have more to do with cleaning and renovation than building a new house – said the Prime Minister.
– The year 2025 will be a year of positive breakthrough. We have no other choice. Poland must win this year and we are on the right track. We will bear the responsibility for Europe on Polish shoulders for the first six months. There will be a presidential campaign in Poland at this time. We will still be stuck in this system of law and lawlessness at the same time, at least until July, he said.

Before the start of the government meeting, Tusk said that Poland will be strong not only to gain some pride and satisfaction from it, but for the safety of all of us, including future generations.
The Prime Minister added that he is proud that Poland is becoming a symbol of a country capable of building security. – We have become, and will confirm this in 2025, a leader in security policy, not only in this part of Europe, but on the entire continent – he said.
The head of government said that security is also to give a strong signal of development. According to him, last year was the first time “we can say that the Polish economy woke up”, and 2025 will be a year of a positive breakthrough.
– If we use the first six months well and prepare for this breakthrough in legal and political terms – because we have to complete this clean-up, we have taken it upon ourselves, not everyone likes it, but we will be consistent here – so that in the second half of 2025 everyone they felt this great energy. We will really move forward together and it will not only be statistics, but will be felt in every Polish home, in every Polish city, in every Polish commune – said Tusk. He added that Poland “will be a place that the whole world will talk about with appreciation, not only because we defended democracy, but because we are building this great civilizational success.”
