Jarosław Kaczyński said on Sunday in Leżajsk that January this year was “the first month in the history of Poland for a very long time where fewer than 20,000 children were born.” – Until now, there has always been more – he added. Prime Minister Donald Tusk reacted to his words. “Jarosław, key decisions in this matter were made last spring – if you know what I mean,” he wrote on social media.

Jaroslaw Kaczynski at a Sunday meeting with the inhabitants of Leżajsk (Podkarpackie), he said, among other things, that “we have the first month in the history of Poland for a very long time where fewer than 20,000 children were born.”

– Until now, there was always more. And in those times, when there was a demographic boom, Poland, much smaller than today, gave birth to 800,000 children a year – he added. As assessed by the president PIS“this is a real problem, but we will definitely not solve it with illegal immigration.”

Tusk: Jarosław, key decisions were made last spring

The Prime Minister referred to these words in an entry on the X platform Donald Tusk. “President Kaczyński reportedly said today that my government is responsible for the low number of births in January. Jarosław, key decisions on this matter were made last spring – if you know what I mean,” he wrote.
