– I may disagree with them on the shape of the electoral lists, but they are decent people who will not betray the politician’s ethos, will not take a bribe, will not put the whole family in a state-owned company – said Donald Tusk about Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Szymon Hołownia. He added that “he wants and will cooperate with them.”
On Monday, Donald Tusk met with sympathizers in Tarnobrzeg. One of the questions he was asked concerned a possible joint run with other opposition parties in the elections and joint governance.
– It’s not like people are waiting for volumes of bills now before the elections. I give my word of honor. We will be prepared to govern from day one when it comes to the Civic Coalition. We have everything sorted out, Tusk assured.
Tusk: Kosiniak-Kamysz and Hołownia are decent people, patriots
As he added, “I want to convince partners in other parties to stop talking about what makes us different.” – That’s why I don’t flood every day with any program offers, because I don’t want to impose our opinion on other, smaller parties. I didn’t make the decision. The decision was made by Mr.Szymon) Hołownia and Mr. (Władysław) Kosiniak-Kamysz that they want to go together. I think this is a mistake. But they have the right to do so, they have a different calculation, he said, referring to the leaders PSL and Poland 2050.
I may disagree with them on this, but Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz and Szymon Hołownia are decent people who will never betray the basic ethos of a politician, who will not take a bribe, who will not put the whole family in a state-owned company, who will not steal public media. I want to work with them and will work with them. They are patriots and I will only speak well of them.
