There will be a vast majority of women in the left-wing team in ministerial positions, Robert Biedroń, co-chairman of the New Left, said on TVN24, referring to the negotiations on the formation of a joint government of the post-election coalition. As he emphasized, “all the names proposed by the Left were accepted by Donald Tusk.” However, he did not reveal his personal details. – I would prefer not to provide the information that the Prime Minister will provide when he presents the composition of his new government – he said.
In Saturday’s edition of the “One on One” program, co-chairman of the New Left Robert Biedroń referred to the joint government of the Civic Coalition, Third Way and the Left.
In this context, he was asked whether he had already said goodbye to his colleagues in Brussels (Biedroń is an MEP) and was returning to Poland. – The new prime minister’s competence will be to present the composition of the new government, and it will be the prime minister Donald Tusk will have this prerogative, replied the politician. – I would prefer not to provide the information that Prime Minister Tusk will provide when he presents the composition of his new government – he added.
To the comment that he was asked whether he was returning to Poland and not whether he was joining the government, he replied: “We’ll see, we’ll see.”

Biedroń reminded that Krzysztof Gawkowski will sit in the government as deputy prime minister from the Left. – Włodzimierz Czarzasty he will still be the deputy speaker of the Sejm, so he will not join the government. And I will have my task – said Biedroń. He also noted that “he performs many functions that are so responsible that he would prefer to end these mandates and then start new ones.”
– We, as co-chairs, take responsibility for this coalition after 18 years of the absence of the Left in the government – he emphasized.
As he said, coalition negotiations are “virtually completed.” – We agreed that each of us would indicate the ministries for which we would like to take responsibility, and we would indicate the appropriate names for these ministries. We as the Left did it. Donald Tusk accepted all the names proposed by the Left, believing that they were high-class specialists, said the MEP.
– It was the same with other groups, I participated in these talks. There was no major controversy here. We offered the best of the best, he added.
