A Boeing 737 was flying from Dortmund to Katowice. There were 190 passengers on board. A bird fell into the engine during takeoff. The captain decided to return to the German airport. The landing went smoothly and no one was hurt.

Passenger plane flying from Dortmund Germany to Katowice, had to turn back because a bird or birds fell into the engine of the machine during take-off, the spokesman for the fire brigade in Dortmund said on Saturday.

There were 190 passengers on board the Boeing 737. For safety reasons, the captain decided to return to Dortmund airport.

As the DPA agency writes, the landing went smoothly and no passengers were injured.
