Firefighters intervened over 700 times in the last 24 hours due to rainfall and strong winds, Brigadier Karol Kierzkowski from the State Fire Service informed on Tuesday. He added that the most events were recorded in the province. Lesser Poland.
According to information provided by Kierzkowski in the last 24 hours, firefighters across the country intervened 690 times due to rainfall and strong winds.
– Most events were recorded in the Małopolskie voivodship – 240, and after 70 interventions in the Pomorskie and Mazowieckie voivodships – said the firefighter.
He indicated that the activities consisted in removing flooding of roads and buildings and removing fallen trees and broken branches.
He added that on Tuesday from midnight to At 6 am, firefighters undertook 80 interventions to remove the effects of atmospheric phenomena.
Interventions in Silesia

The fireman noted that the rivers in the Świętokrzyskie region rose during the day. The emergency state was exceeded at Bobrza in Słowik. The water level is currently at 320 centimeters (300 cm emergency). Warning levels are exceeded in five places in the region – on Czarna in Januszewice, Kamienna in Bzin and Wąchock, Czarna in Raków, Łagowianka in Mocha and Pokrzywianka in Włochy.

The waters of the Vistula are rising. At the measuring point in Karsy (Małopolska Province) near Nowy Korczyn (Busko County, Świętokrzyskie Province), the level increased by over 3.5 meters during the day. Currently, it is 596 cm, exceeding the emergency level by 46 cm.
Alarm levels exceeded in Podkarpacie
In Podkarpacie, due to rainfall on Tuesday in Głowaczowa near Dębica on the Grabinka River, the emergency state has been exceeded – informed the Provincial Crisis Management Center in Rzeszów.
