“It rises to an even higher level”, “more dragons, battles, murders, intrigues, revenge”, “it's just good to watch” – this is how the second season of “Rom of the Dragon” is described by foreign critics who have already had the opportunity to see the first four episodes long-awaited production. It will debut in Poland on June 17 on HBO and the Max platform.

According to William Goodman of The Wrap, the series “reaches even higher levels” in the new episodes. “It's a cut above the rest of engaging and professionally delivered television,” says Goodman. Describing the plot, he calls it an “exciting and engaging story.” He also states that it reflects the character of the characters better than in the first season of the series.

Louis Chilton from “The Independent” is impressed by the level and budget put into the series. “The whole production is just great to watch. Whether you're looking at the picturesque landscapes or the impressive interiors of castles, you're always a bit stunned by the amount of money you see on the screen,” he says. “The acting is solid and, in places, excellent,” the review continues, paying particular attention to the performance of Olivia Cooke, who plays Alicent Hightower in the series. “It seems that these dragons still have a lot of fire in them,” he concludes.

Therese Lacson from the thematic portal Collider also speaks positively about the second season of “Rom of the Dragon”. “It surpassed its first season,” the journalist briefly says. “Season two is stronger, bloodier. There are more dragons, battles, murders, intrigues, revenge, nudity and sex,” writes Lauren Sarner from the New York Post.

James Hunt, editor of Screen Rant, is a bit more skeptical. He notes that “everyone who liked the first season of 'Road of the Dragon' should be very pleased with the second season.” “However, there are some (…) interesting choices in terms of narrative and (creation of) characters that readers of the books may disagree with,” he adds.

The premiere episode of the second season in Poland will be broadcast on June 17 on HBO at 3:00 a.m. Its replay will be available on TV the same day at 8:10 p.m. Episodes of “Rod of the Dragon” will be available on Max – a new streaming platform that will debut in Poland on June 11.
