On Monday, the Ministry of Digitization begins the process of introducing a new service in the mObywatel application. A provisional driving license will allow drivers to drive the vehicle immediately after the exam until they collect the plastic document.
The new benefit of the Ministry of Digitization is a digital document that gives you the opportunity to drive vehicles for categories AM, A1, A2, A, B1, B, B+E or T. The license will apply to novice drivers who have just passed the state exam or those who have extended their your rights with another of the above. The document will be valid for 30 days from the moment of passing the exam.
Provisional driving license
“A provisional driving license will be available in mObywatel. The service will be implemented successively from August 7 to a maximum of August 21 this year, so not all users will find it in their application today” – emphasizes the Minister of Digitization Janusz Cieszyńskiappealing for patience while waiting for the system update.
After passing the state exam in WORD, the examiner enters information about the result into the Candidate Profile for Driver (PKK). Then the data is sent to the Central Register of Drivers (CEK), where the process of creating a provisional driving license takes place. At the end, the mObywatel application notifies us about the possibility of downloading a digital document.
Since July 14, the mObywatel Act has been in force and a new version of the application is operational. New functions and services appear in mObywatel 2.0. One of them is an identity document – mDowod. It can be used throughout the country. The exception is going abroad and applying for a traditional ID card. We will not use it in the bank until August 31. mDowód has a different expiration and issue date, as well as a number and series than the so-called plastic proof. It is only available within the app.
