A doctor in the Emergency Department of the Radom Specialist Hospital had more than two per mille of alcohol in the exhaled air. Police are investigating whether the woman had contact with the patients.

As the spokesman for the Radom police, Staff Sergeant Kamil Warda, informed on Thursday, the notification of a drunk doctor staying in the Hospital Emergency Department was sent to the police via the emergency number 112.

Police officers who arrived at the scene confirmed that the 30-year-old woman was under the influence of alcohol. After the examination, it turned out that she had 2.3 per mille in her body – said Warda. He added that officers are currently checking whether the doctor had contact with patients.

A doctor who exposes patients to a direct danger of loss of life or serious damage to health is punishable by up to five years in prison.
