A driver of a passenger car overturned in Łomianki. The 29-year-old was driving under the influence of alcohol and was detained.

The collision occurred on Kolejowa Street in the direction of Warsaw. The services were alerted at around 8:30 p.m. – There was a rollover – Jacek Sobociński from the press department of the Warsaw Police Headquarters told us.

No one was hurt. – The 29-year-old driver was under the influence of alcohol, he had almost two per mille, he was detained – the policeman noted.

The details of the action were described on the firefighters' website from Łomianki.

“During the arrival, the first difficulties were encountered – drivers stuck in a traffic jam did not create an emergency corridor, effectively blocking the services' passage. Upon arrival at the scene, one crashed vehicle was found lying on its roof. The people travelling in the vehicle were outside the vehicle and were being examined by the emergency medical team from Łomianki that arrived before us,” they reported.

They added that the firefighters' actions initially consisted of securing the scene of the incident and then clearing the traffic.

“After unloading the congestion, it was decided to position one fire engine approximately 150 m before the accident. After obtaining permission from the police, the vehicle was put back on its wheels using a winch mounted in the vehicle and the road was cleared,” they reported.

After approximately 2.5 hours the units returned to the barracks.
