The 43-year-old never had a driver's license, but he drove a car, even after a large dose of alcohol. He was caught because he didn't wear a seatbelt. Now he faces prison and a very high fine.
Police officers from the Mława traffic police in Szreńsk noticed a Skoda driver who was not wearing a seat belt. They stopped him. Behind the wheel was a 43-year-old resident of the Mława district who had never held a driving license.
– In addition, the police officers detected a strong odor of alcohol on him. A sobriety test showed over 2.5 per mille. A motion to punish the man for the offenses committed will be filed with the court – informs Sub-inspector Aneta Prusik from the Mława police.
Driving under the influence of alcohol is punishable by up to three years in prison, and for not having a driving license an additional fine of up to PLN 30,000.
There is no shortage of drunk drivers
Police officers from the capital and Masovia recently summed up the first half of the holiday season on the roads. During this period, traffic was stopped on the capital's roads. 48 drunk drivers and 18 after using alcohol. On Mazovian roads it was less than 400 drivers who drove vehicles after consuming alcohol.
