Strong winds blowing on Thursday caused dust storms to form in some regions of Poland. See the recordings.
In the vicinity of Wolsztyn, in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, on the border with the Lubuskie Voivodeship, strong gusts of wind caused a dust storm to form there on Thursday. He captured this unusual phenomenon in the recording Leszek Przybyła from “Lubuskie Storm Hunters”. “A real sandstorm” – commented the author of the recording.
The same phenomenon occurred in the vicinity of Koło. He sent the recording to Contact 24 Mr. Konrad.
– Visibility was very poor, but luckily this situation only lasted about three minutes, a while. Nothing stayed on the car, the wind was so strong it all blown away. I was just driving between the fields and I was able to record it there. It is quite warm today – reported the Internet user. He added that he recorded the phenomenon exactly at 16.01.
As reported by the tvnmeteo.pl synoptic, Daniel Kowalczyk, it is not a sandstorm, as these occur in desert or semi-desert regions. What you see in the video can be described as a dust or sand whirl (if the sand is lifted by the vortex) or a dust or sand whirlwind when it is not in the form of a vortex.
Similar phenomena have also been observed today in other regions of the country.
