The Credit Information Bureau (BIK) informed that the number of loans granted by banks to micro-entrepreneurs in September 2021 increased by 15.9 percent year-on-year. Their value, however, increased by 21.5 percent compared to September 2020.
As reported by BIK, banks granted micro-entrepreneurs a total of 13.2 thousand. loans for the total amount of PLN 1.923 billion, including: 0.7 thousand. investment loans in the amount of PLN 419 million, 4.7 thousand. working capital loans in the amount of PLN 818 million and PLN 3.5 thousand overdraft facilities in the amount of PLN 390 million.
Number of loans granted
In the three quarters of 2021, banks granted a total of 115.3 thousand loans in the amount of PLN 16.125 billion. The increase in the number of loans granted in this period compared to the corresponding period of 2020 was 15.6%. The value of loans granted increased by 22.5%.
BIK data shows that banks granted 31 percent. more overdrafts, by 16 percent more working capital loans, while the number of investment loans decreased by 23.8%. compared to September 2020
The value of investment loans increased by 30 percent, working capital by 18 percent, and overdrafts by 12 percent.
