Edward Miszczak leaves TVN. There will also be a new organizational structure for Warner Bros. Discovery

Edward Miszczak, a longtime TVN programming director, and so far also a member of the board of TVN Grupa Discovery, has decided to leave the company. – Edward created the most recognizable formats and contributed to the unique perception of the TVN brand – says Kasia Kieli, president of Warner Bros. Discovery in Poland and CEO of TVN. Regardless of the departure of Miszczak, and in connection with the merger of Warner Bros. Discovery also creates a new, integrated company structure in Poland.

Edward Miszczak was associated with TVN from the beginning of the station’s existence, from 1997. From 1998 he was the program director of the station. He is one of the most recognizable people in the media. He not only managed them (including RMF FM), but also ran journalistic programs, including “Cell”, “People on the Way”. He started his professional career at Radio Krakow.

– I would like to thank Edward for his 25-year contribution to the development of TVN. Being on board our company from day one, Edward created the most recognizable formats and contributed to the unique perception of the TVN brand. It is thanks to such a strong programming that TVN has been the undisputed market leader in Poland for many years – says Kasia Kieli.

– We have been talking with Edward for some time about changes in our organization, so we are very well prepared for them. I wish Edward good luck and further success – he adds.

– We will soon announce the structure of the programming division at Warner Bros. Discovery in Poland. This team will be responsible for all channels operating on the Polish FTA (free to air) market and the paid, Polish programming of both groups. A completely new opening for us and our viewers will be the possibility of using the huge library of TVN, Discovery and Warner Media on our antennas – assures the head of Warner Bros. Discovery in Poland.

– 25 years on television is a whole era, and TVN was the greatest adventure of my professional life – says Edward Miszczak.

– We did things here together that seemed impossible to many, and we were successful – he adds, noting that “TVN set and sets trends”. – I am leaving here a fantastic team that accompanied me on this journey. In addition, Kasia Kieli and all those responsible for the development of TVN prove every day that you can make the TV that viewers love and which is simply the best – she emphasizes.

Structure of the Warner Bros. organization Discovery

Regardless of Miszczak’s departure, TVN announced that in connection with the merger of Warner Bros. Discovery is also building a new, integrated organizational structure.

He will be responsible for the News area Michał Samul, whose team will also work on collaboration opportunities within Warner Bros. Discovery, or CNN.

Dorota Żurkowska he will lead the Commercial Development and Distribution team for both combined groups. At the same time, as part of her duties, she will also continue to be responsible for Eurosport and the Polish sports offer, Transformation Office, as well as for the development of our online offer run by Anna Gumkowska.

In the transition period already mentioned Edward Miszczak he will be the director of the Programming division. Ultimately, this division will be responsible for all FTA and paid channels operating on the Polish market, Polish programming of both groups and for developing a strategy for using the TVN, Discovery and Warner Media libraries on the air.

He will be responsible for Player and streaming Maciej Gozdowski. He will also be responsible for cooperation with HBOMax.

The Ad Sales team, led by Piotr Tyborowicz, will be responsible for revenue from advertising, sponsorship and other television and digital advertising solutions for the entire combined Warner Bros. portfolio. Discovery in Poland.

Marcin Bogłowski will lead the new Strategy, Insights and Data team. This team will be responsible for creating a development strategy for our products so that they meet the requirements of viewers, are adapted to the changing media market and respond to the needs of our customers. Marcin will also be responsible for creating a new marketing structure for the combined group.

The Communication & PR team will take over Jan Mrózwho from February in charge of the Corporate Communication and Public Affairs division.

Rafał Ogrodnikas CFO and COO, in the new structure, he will be responsible for the area of ​​finance and operations, and will also supervise the process of integration and operations with Warner Media on an ongoing basis, as well as coordinating cooperation with international structures in this area.

Dominika Stępińska-DuchHead of Legal, will lead the legal, privacy and compliance department, with particular emphasis on ensuring optimal legal conditions for the development of a combined business in Poland.

Krzysztof KozłowskiAs previously as CTO, he will lead the Technology and IT structures and be responsible for all development projects in these areas.

Agnieszka Maciejewskaas Head of P&C, she will supervise all employee areas, she will also be responsible for integration with the Polish structures of Warner Media and creating a new organizational culture.
