Elżbieta Zapendowska is an outstanding music critic and vocal coach who has noticed many talents over the years. She also taught singing to such stars as: Doda or Edyta Górniak. She became known to a wider audience as a juror in “Idol” and “Must be the music. Only music”. In recent years, Zapendowska fell into the shadows and disappeared from the media. Recently, however, she appeared on “Dzień Dobry TVN”, where she talked about her illness. Now she gave another interview. Its topic was, among others, Edyta Górniak.

Watch the video Zapendowska says Górniak's words were impudent. “It's not Edzi's fault”

Elżbieta Zapendowska about Edyta Górniak. “Behavior from outer space and intolerable”

Years ago, Elżbieta Zapendowska taught singing to then-teenage Edyta Górniak. As the music critic herself claims, it was she who pushed Edyta Górniak, who was then just starting out as a singer, to Warsaw. Zapendowska appreciates the diva's voice. However, there is no good opinion about her. For example, he claims that Górniak did not use her full potential. – I have been going to workshops for the last 20 years, often several times a month, and I have heard people willing to sing from the Baltic Sea to the mountains. All the girls sang Edyta Górniak's repertoire. And it was unbearable already. Because they imitated Edith. Of course, with poor results, because Edyta is really talented, although she didn't use her talent – she said in an interview with “Fakt”.

It wasn't so nice after that. The judge of popular music talent shows said that working with divas like Górniak is a nightmare. Górniak was supposed to present “behaviors from outer space”. However, these were not experienced by Zapendowska herself, but by people cooperating with the diva on stage.

Working with divas like Edyta is a nightmare. […] For me, working with Edyta wasn't such a nightmare at that time, because she wasn't very angry. But then the musicians, cinematographers, lighting people and entire teams working with her got hit hard, she gave them a hard time. Sometimes the behavior was out of the world and unbearable

– she said.

Edyta Górniak was offended by Elżbieta Zapendowska?

Some time ago, Elżbieta Zapendowska assessed the vocal activities of Górnik's son – Allan Enso (formerly Krupa, but let us remind you that due to a conflict with his father Dariusz Krupa, the man decided to change his surname). Górniak did not take these words well. What does Zapendowska say about this? According to her, the diva cannot listen to criticism. “I told him honestly that it was weak and he had a lot of work ahead of him, and it started. She doesn't know how to listen to criticism. Totally. It wasn't malice on my part, I said what I thought. Critical comments can help, after all and serve to change and improve something,” she told “Fakt”.

Elżbieta Zapendowska reacted to Edyta Górniak's absurd statement

Let us remind you that some time ago Edyta Górniak spoke critically and in an inelegant way about Elżbieta Zapendowska. She claimed that it was thanks to her that the singing teacher became known throughout Poland. – I helped her many times in life. She helped me and I helped her too. I lied to the whole of Poland that he was a wonderful vocal teacher. This is not true. She can't teach, but I wanted to get her out of little Opole […] I took her out of there and put her to work at “Metro”. Wiktor Kubiak gave her an apartment at my request. She didn't have to pay for the apartment, she told Pomponik.

In an interview with Plotek, Elżbieta Zapendowska referred to these words and called them impudent. Because they are [te słowa – red.] they are cheeky. Before I even met Edyta Górniak, I had already won Opole with the band, won the jazz festival in Zamość, won a few stages… I don't have to prove anything, whether I taught someone or not. But it makes me laugh a little when a little girl – from a small town – then 16 years old, now says that she helped me a lot when I was 40 at the time. It makes me laugh. But if that's what she needs to be happy, let her say whatever she wants, she said. You can read more about this HERE.
