An intoxicated mother was walking with her six-year-old son along one of the streets of Elbląg (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship). She alternately turned over and stood up. She had three blood alcohol levels. She was detained by the police to sober up, and the boy was placed under the care of his father. The case of the 37-year-old will now be handled by the family court.

Police officers from Elbląg received a report on Friday (February 10) around 8 p.m. from concerned witnesses. The incident took place on Teatralna Street.

“The intoxicated mother led the six-year-old boy. The woman alternately fell over and got up. The police arrived at the scene. The 37-year-old had abrasions on her face and was aggressive” – ​​said Jakub Sawicki from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Elbląg.

Three per mille in the body

The woman was clearly under the influence of alcohol. The test showed her 3 per mille in the body. She was transported to the hospital, then to the sobering-up station.

“The child was handed over to a sober father. The family court will now assess the parental care,” Sawicki said.
