PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński, who returns to the campaign trail after a break, met on Saturday with voters and activists of Law and Justice in Janów Lubelski. He spoke about the “liberal ideology” to which, in his opinion, the system of Poland after the transformation was to refer, and the “social Darwinism” to which this ideology was to lead. A group of protesters gathered nearby, shouting, among other things, “PiS = expensive”.
Speaking to the activists and supporters of Law and Justice gathered in Janów Lubelski, the president Jaroslaw Kaczynski he said that “in 2015, the change of the Polish system began, especially socio-economic, but also political.” – The first system after communism, despite all its flaws, is much better than communism (…), this system in its assumptions had elements that can be called errors – he assessed.
He mentioned “the reference to liberal ideology, an ideology that has never had a particular tradition in Poland” and expressed the opinion that in a society affected by years of communism, German occupation or partitions, “this must have worked particularly badly”.
“It actually led to something that in the social sciences is called social Darwinism, that is, something that reduces human relationships to struggle,” he said.

– This mechanism, which was created then, was a mechanism that lowered the rank of our state, it was not related to the fight for Poland’s position. “Poland is an ugly maiden without a dowry” – this famous saying defined the mental state of the then elites and led to a policy of dependence – said Kaczyński.
Protest before the meeting with Kaczyński
One of the women who did not get to the meeting with the president of Law and Justice told the TVN24 reporter that she tried to enter the hall, but she was “not brought by bus”. “I’m a local so I wasn’t allowed to come in,” she added.
When asked what she would like to ask Jarosław Kaczyński, the woman replied that “a lot of things”. – I will not explain. What every normal Pole would like to ask – she said.
The protesters carried bannersPIS = expensive” and chanted such a password through a megaphone.
