Michnik: Calculation of votes in committees in which irregularities took place is necessary

In the regional election committees, in which the votes of RafaƂ Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki were converted, the definite minority was persons submitted by the committees of the candidates of the ruling coalition – according to TVN24 analysis.

Since the resolution of the second round of the presidential election, which was won by the candidate PIS Karol Nawrocki, there are media reports about irregularities regarding the counting of votes in several committees. In connection with the election protests brought in, the Supreme Court decided to inspect cards from a total of 13 regional election committees.

According to the law, the regional electoral commission has a vote in a given region, watch over the voting right and time of voting, determine the results of voting in this circuit and make it public and send them to the District Electoral Commission.

Irregularities in committees – where and which was detected

A spokeswoman for the Prosecutor's Office, prosecutor Anna Adamiak, said on Saturday that the Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar He authorized the prosecutor of the National Prosecutor's Office to read the Supreme Court in the Card Inspection reports.

He became familiar with the files in which there were protocols for recalculating voting cards in 10 peripheral election committees in the cities of: Kraków, Tarnów, Katowice, Strzelce Opolskie, MiƄsk Mazowiecki, Olesno, Grudziądz, Kamienna Góra, Wieniec (Brest Kujawski commune), GdaƄsk.

IN Seven of ten committees were changed voteswhich resulted in the erroneous acceptance that Nawrocki obtained more votes in these circuits. It is a regional election committees in: Krakow, Strzelce Opolskie, MiƄsk Mazowiecki, Oleƛno, Grudziądz, Wieniec and GdaƄsk. In one committee in Kamienna Góra, important voices cast for Trzaskowski were added to Nawrocki's voices.

In the commission in Katowice, there was a mistaken invalid votes to both candidates. However, as the PG spokeswoman said – “at the Electoral Commission in TarnĂłw, the inspection confirmed the result of the vote recorded in the protocol.”

According to Adamiak, a total of irregularities occurred in 9 out of 10 of the commission mentioned in the announcement.

Who sat on committees

TVN24 analyzed the composition of regional electoral commissions, in which reports from re -examination of cards confirmed irregularities.

In this context, it should be emphasized that a candidate for a member of the District Electoral Commission can be submitted by any registered committee – regardless of whether he issued his candidate in elections or not. PKW also informs that if someone wants to become a member, they can independently submit their candidacy to an electoral official through the commune office or electoral commissioner. Then, in the event of the need to supplement the composition of the commission by the electoral commissioner, this candidacy may be used.

The District Electoral Commission appoints National Electoral Commissionat the request of the election commissioner competent for the town being the seat of the commission.

The chairman of this regional commission was a person reported by Krzysztof Stanski's committee, and the vice -chairman – indicated by the Commissioner.

Three out of 11 people in this committee were submitted by committees issuing presidential candidates who were candidates of the formation creating the ruling coalition.
