Elections to the European Parliament 2024. Witold Waszczykowski is the “number one” of PiS in the Łódź province

Law and Justice has registered a list of candidates in the Łódź Voivodeship. Witold Waszczykowski will start as number one. The next places include Joanna Lichocka, Robert Telus, Waldemar Buda and Paweł Sałek.

The leader of this party in the Łódź Voivodeship, Robert Telus, announced the registration of PiS candidates in the Łódź Voivodeship on Tuesday evening on social media. He attached a full list of candidates to the entry. Just like five years ago, the PiS list in the Łódź constituency is opened by those running for re-election Witold Waszczykowski, former Minister of Foreign Affairs. The second place is taken by an MP Joanna Lichocka, and the third one was another member of parliament – Anna Milczanowska. The next places were given to former ministers in the United Right government – Robert Telus and Waldemar Buda.

The candidates also include: former advisor to President Andrzej Duda, MP Paweł Sałek, MP Agnieszka Wojciechowska van Heukelom, MP Piotr Polak, and former provincial councilor Ewa Wenderowska. The list ends with the outgoing Marshal of the Łódź Voivodeship, Grzegorz Schreiber, who was elected as a councilor of the Łódź Regional Assembly in April. The current PiS MEP from the Łódź constituency, Jolanta Kopcińska, is not on the PiS list.

The European Parliament elections in Poland will take place on June 9. Poles will elect 53 MPs.
