Elon Musk announced that he has found his successor, who is to head Twitter. He did not name a name, but the Wall Street Journal reported that one of the favorites is Linda Yaccarino, the executive director of Comcast NBCUniversal, who led talks on the matter.

“I’m excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. He will start in about 6 weeks!” Musk wrote on Twitter.

Musk added that in the next few weeks he will move to the position of chief technology officer of the social media platform.

Musk became the head of Twitter after he completed a $44 billion purchase of the company in October. In December, he announced that he would step down as CEO once he found “someone stupid enough to take the job.” He said he would then lead Twitter’s software and server teams.

The daily “WSJ”, citing people familiar with the matter, reported that Linda Yaccarino was in talks to take the top position on Twitter.

After Musk’s tweet, Reuters also reported that Yaccarino could head the company. The agency referred to a director from Silicon Valley, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
