The billionaire emphasized at the end of the message: “If you are sure you want to be part of the new Twitter, click 'yes' in the link below.” Elon Musk explained that employees who do not click on the posted link will receive a three-month severance package. Gary Rooney did not do this, and three days later he received another message from the company. This time, it was indicated that the employee allegedly confirmed his desire to resign from his position and “accepted the offer of voluntary separation,” he wrote. The Guardian“.
Elon Musk's Portal X must pay high compensation
Rooney responded to the email by saying he never informed the company that he was resigning and had not accepted any redundancy agreement. Musk’s company disagreed.
Ultimately, an Irish tribunal sided with the former employee and ordered the company to pay compensation of more than €550,000. euro (approx. PLN 2.4 million) for Rooney – reports “The Guardian”.
