Elon Musk is backing Mandalorian actor’s swimsuit towards Disney


As The Hollywood Reporter reports, Carano is suing Disney for discrimination and wrongful termination after she was fired following inflammatory and antisemitic posts on X (then Twitter) and Instagram. On the time of Carano’s firing, Disney stated in a press release that “her social media posts denigrating folks primarily based on their cultural and non secular identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”

As for the timing, Carano is submitting the lawsuit now as a result of Musk posted in August of last year that “in the event you had been unfairly handled by your employer as a consequence of posting or liking one thing on this platform, we are going to fund your authorized invoice.”

In a post on X, Carano says that she reached out quickly after that to see if she certified. “To my shock, just a few months in the past I obtained an e-mail from a lawyer who had been employed by X to look into my story & many others,” she wrote. “Seems after sending them as a lot info as I might collect these previous few months, my now legal professionals & X consider whole-heartedly in my case & are shifting ahead.”

Based on The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is looking for “a courtroom order that might drive Lucasfilm to recast her and no less than $75,000, plus punitive damages.”

Elon beforehand had a spat with Disney — and advertisers generally — after the corporate pulled promoting from X, alongside many others. In a rant in November, he stated, “If someone goes to attempt to blackmail me with promoting, blackmail me with cash, go fuck your self. Go fuck your self. Is that clear? I hope it’s.”
