Elon Musk is the richest man in the world again, according to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index. The owner of Twitter and Tesla is now worth approximately $187.1 billion. Musk pushed Bernard Arnault, the head of the LVMH luxury goods empire, out of first place.
Arnault topped Bloomberg’s list for about two months. However, the situation changed on Monday’s session on Wall Street, where Tesla shares soared.
Tesla rose 5.5 percent. after the electric car maker said its factory near Berlin was producing 4,000 cars a week, three weeks ahead of schedule.
List of the richest
Bloomberg values Arnault’s fortune at $185 billion. The podium is closed by the founder of Amazon Jeff Bezos with a net worth of $117 billion.
While Musk holds the title of the world’s richest man, he also holds the record for the largest fortune anyone has ever lost. Late last year, Musk became the first person to lose $200 billion after his net worth dropped from around $340 billion in November 2021 to $137 billion in December 2022.
