Górniak: the title of the reportage has become a slogan that unites patients

Katarzyna Górniak, when asked whether she considers the appointment of the endometriosis team by the Minister of Health as a success of the reportage “You are so beautiful”, replied: – We treat it a bit as our success. A little, but not quite. A huge amount of work has been done and still is done by patient organizations, including patients suffering from endometriosis. This is titanic work.

– They have not let go for many, many years, so that the system and the state finally notice them. We helped them to publicize this problem and publicize this disease. To show by television means how much these patients suffer – she added.

– Even the title – “You’re so beautiful” – has become a slogan that unites endometriosis patients. It became a hashtag, three words that, when spoken, explain what’s going on, no more needs to be added – said Górniak.

Górniak: endometriosis has become a public problem

– It was the most important thing that endometriosis became a public problem. It became something that got into the consciousness of people and finally these two, three million sick Polish women were noticed – she said.

This team includes all the doctors and doctors who appeared in our report “That’s your beauty”, recognized experts and experts. (…) But this team is also much broader, interdisciplinary – said Górniak, pointing out, among others, the presence of a dietitian in the team and the emphasis on training doctors in the field of endometriosis. “We keep our fingers crossed for this team,” she added.

Górniak: We have the impression that our reportage has changed people’s awareness
