I have never heard of this gentleman, I have never heard of this situation, so I do not know whether this meeting took place or not. I know one thing that Mr. Jerzy Milewski has never been an advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland – said Łukasz Rzepecki, an advisor to President Andrzej Duda, on Saturday, commenting on Michał Wypij’s Friday testimony before the so-called envelope committee.

On Friday, the commission of inquiry into elections correspondents questioned former Agreement MP Michał Wypij. – After I spoke in the media against envelope elections, some politicians in power were aware that they were unable to change my decision in any other way than through unconventional methods – said Wypij. He testified that the counselor Andrzej Duda Jerzy Milewski asked to meet his father. It was supposed to take place at a gas station. According to Wypij, Milewski asked if there was a chance to change his decision regarding support for envelope elections.

“I’ve never heard of this situation.”

On Saturday, a TVN24 reporter asked Łukasz Rzepecki, advisor to President Andrzej Duda, about this statement.

– I have never heard of this gentleman, I have never heard of this situation, so I do not know whether this meeting took place or not. I know one thing that Mr. Jerzy Milewski was never an advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland, and whether such a meeting took place or not, that’s what Mr. Wypij talked about, of course under oath, and it seems that he was telling the truth – said Rzepecki.

He noted, however, that he had “never heard of this man after working for over three years in the office” and had no knowledge “that any such meeting took place.” – Especially since President Andrzej Duda himself said at that time that he was not in favor of envelope elections – he added.
