These are key witnesses – said Dariusz Joński, chairman of the investigative commission on envelope elections, in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego”, referring to the commission's work and plans to question former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński.

Sejm investigative committee elections Correspondents will question the former prime minister on Thursday Mateusz Morawiecki. The president is scheduled to testify last, on May 24 PIS Jaroslaw Kaczynski.

The chairman of the committee, Dariusz Joński, KO's candidate for the European Parliament, was asked about this issue in “Piasecki's Rozmowa”. As he said, “these are key witnesses.”

– On the one hand, we have Mateusz Morawiecki, who signed the decision, although without a legal basis. The provincial administrative court had no doubt that Mateusz Morawiecki could not sign the decision ordering Poczta Polska and PWPW to prepare and conduct elections and printing cards, while depriving the National Electoral Commission of these rights. On the other hand NIK draws attention to the same thing, so we will ask about it – he emphasized.

– I think I have 87 questions today. Of course, we probably won't finish today, we'll have to point to the second day of the hearing, but there are a lot of questions, he noted.

Joński was asked who could submit applications to the prosecutor's office. – I would be unprofessional if I told you today before Jarosław Kaczyński's hearing. However, it is true that in the PiS camp the decision was made by the president. It is true that he did not sign anything, which is why the testimonies of previous witnesses, documents and interviews from that time are very important to interrogate Jarosław Kaczyński – he said.

He added that Kaczyński will be invited to next Friday. – He's the last witness. We specially arranged the work plan so that he would be the last witness, because he did not sign anything, but the decisions, according to witnesses, were made by him – he added.

Asked if he could imagine, for example, a confrontation at the committee Jacek Sasin and Mateusz Morawiecki, Joński replied: “I can imagine everything.”

Joński: On December 19, I said that this commission should not work longer than half a year

The politician was also asked what would happen to the commission if he got into the European Parliament. – On December 19, when I became the chairman of the investigative committee on envelope elections, I said that this committee should not work longer than half a year – he said.

– We examine three months: March, April, May 2020. It is not like with Amber Gold or VAT, where the examination period is 5-10 years. Three months. Therefore, I believe that six months of this intensive work, including interviewing witnesses, will be enough – he said.

When asked whether it was worth establishing this commission, Joński replied that “if we look at the amount, everyone will say that ventilators, Ostrołęka and so on have much larger amounts.” – This is about something else. Well, we just had local elections. We are about to have elections to the European Parliament. And they were equal, free, secret, democratic. The ones prepared by PiS four years ago would be neither equal nor secret. Moreover, as the head of the National Electoral Commission said, the same as then and now, these results would simply not be recognized – he added.
