There was an avalanche in Erzurum that kidnapped two people. Both were killed, as reported by the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Authority (AFAD). The cause of the disaster was intense rainfall, which was brought by a heavy snowstorm a few days ago.

Two people died in an avalanche that occurred in Erzurum in eastern Turkey. The information was provided on Thursday afternoon by the local Office for Disasters and Emergency Situations (AFAD).

The statement said the avalanche descended in the Horasan district around noon. As it was added, rescue teams were sent to the site immediately.

“Unfortunately, the bodies of two of our citizens were found trapped in an avalanche” – it was reported.
