Espargaro’s ‘life handed earlier than my eyes’ after historic dwelling MotoGP win

Having won the sprint race on Saturday, Espargaro regarded set to be overwhelmed on Sunday by Aprilia team-mate Maverick Vinales after a mistake mid-race value him lots of time.

Espargaro defined that the lap 11 mistake was a consequence of him making an attempt to make up for one more error that misplaced him half a second.  

“I did one mistake in nook one, after which making an attempt to get better the half-second mistake, in nook three I practically highsided,” he added. “And I misplaced double.

“After the incident I pushed like hell for 2 laps and I didn’t get better something and I stated to myself ‘it’s a must to settle for that he’s quicker right this moment’.

“However then I stated ‘Okay, he’s quicker, if he’s going to win he’s going to sweat’. So I pushed like hell, like qualifying, I risked rather a lot and it paid off.”
