According to the published schedule, citizens of these non-European countrieswho do not need a visa to travel to Great Britaincan apply for issuance AND from November 27, and the document itself will be required from them from January 8, 2025.

The ETA will be valid for two years (or until your passport expires) and allows you to make multiple trips to the UK or make single stays of up to six months for the purposes of tourism, visiting family and friends, business or short-term study.

It also allows you to Arrival in Great Britain for a period of up to three months under the visa exemption for creative workers; to come to the UK for the purpose of taking up permitted short-term paid employment (e.g. athletes, artists, lawyers, conference participants); transit through Great Britainincluding without passing through UK border controls.

However, ETA does not allow you to stay in the UK for longer than 6 months.; to do paid or unpaid work for a British company or as a self-employed person; to claim benefits; to apartment in uk through frequent or consecutive visits.

ETA. Who does not need to have it?

An ETA will not be required for British, Irish and British Overseas Territories passport holders. It will also not be required for people who have the right to live, work or study in the UK, including through EU nationals. settled status the temporary settled status (this status is held by the vast majority of Poles living in Great Britain).

An ETA will also not be required for people who are lawfully resident in Ireland, are nationals of a country that is part of the visa-free travel agreement with the UK and are entering the UK from Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands. It will also not be required for citizens of countries that are not part of the visa-free travel agreement, as these will still will have to apply for visas.

The ETA will be digitally linked to the traveller's passport and according to the British government will facilitate more thorough security checks before travelling to the UK to prevent abuse of the immigration system.
