Polish applications for EU funding for ammunition production were submitted “incompletely and with suboptimally prepared documentation,” said Jacek Siewiera, head of the National Security Bureau, and admitted that in such a situation “it is difficult to expect success.”

European Commission on Friday she decided transferring EUR 500 million to arms companies to increase the production capacity of artillery ammunition. This is to provide more missiles Ukraine and restocking European Union countries. Only 0.4 percent of the total funding, i.e. EUR 2 million, was allocated to Polish companies. Applications for this funding were submitted under the previous government.

The head of the National Security Bureau, Jacek Siewiera, commented on the issue of EU funding in “Piasecki's Rozmowa” on TVN24. – I still have trouble understanding all three issues. That is, how can EUR 500 million be allocated to such a key resource at the level of the European Commission? This is an extremely saving amount – he said.

This is – as he said – “a very cautious step, taking into account the scale of the war and the scale of Western involvement.”

– The second aspect that is difficult to understand is why Polish applications cover only PLN 11 million and the third, also scandalous, reason is why we receive only two million – added the head of the National Security Bureau.

He admitted that “technical errors were made and this issue has probably been clarified.” – This means that when submitting an application for EUR 11 million, submitting it – let's put it mildly – incompletely and with suboptimally prepared documentation, it is difficult to expect success – he said.
