The European Parliament will deal with a resolution on “media freedom and further deterioration of the rule of law in Poland”. In the document, the content of which was learned by RMF FM, deputies of the largest factions called on Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki to withdraw the application to the Constitutional Tribunal to examine the primacy of EU law over national law. MEPs appeal to the European Commission and the EU Council to approve the Polish National Reconstruction Plan, provided that Poland implements all the judgments of the CJEU.

The head of the Polish government, Mateusz Morawiecki, asked the Constitutional Tribunal to review the constitutionality of three provisions of the Treaty on European Union – the allegations include the question of the constitutionality of the principle of primacy of European Union law and the principle of loyal cooperation between the EU and its member states. The Tribunal is to adjudicate as a full bench. In June, the European Commission asked Poland to withdraw its application from the Constitutional Tribunal. She was denied.
