Eurojackpot. Big win in Poland. We know where it was won

In Friday's Eurojackpot draw in Poland, a second-degree win was won. Totalizator Sportowy announced where the lucky ticket was purchased. The winner will receive over 3.5 million złoty.

On Friday, August 16th, Eurojackpot the following numbers were drawn: 4, 11, 16, 46, 50 and 1 and 3. Such numbers were not found on any player's coupon, so the jackpot increased to PLN 250 million.

In Poland, however, it was noted second-degree prize worth PLN 3,544,932.60. Totalizator Sportowy provided information on where the lucky ticket was purchased.

“The Lotto point at ul. Rynek 12 turned out to be lucky in Kościerzyna (Pomeranian Voivodeship). The player entrusted his coupon to fate and played the game randomly,” we read in the announcement.

It is important to remember that a 10% tax is charged on any winnings above PLN 2,280. As we read on the lottery's website, it is charged at the time of winnings payout and paid by Totalizator Sportowy to the tax office.

Second-degree victories were also won in Czech Republic and Sweden.

Eurojackpot – game rules, draws

Eurojackpot is a European-wide numbers game that was launched in March 2012. On September 9, 2017, Totalizator Sportowy, the owner of the Lotto brand, introduced it to the Polish market. Several European countries participate in the game.

Draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The fee for the bet is PLN 12.50. The player selects 5 out of 50 numbers and 2 out of 12 numbers.
