European Parliament: AfD creates new faction. Grzegorz Braun is omitted


According to information from journalists from “Die Welt”, the new parliamentary group is to include 28 MEPs from nine countries. Half of them are to come from the AfD, and the leader of the faction is to be its MEP Rene Aust.

The Alternative for Germany proposed the name “Europe of Sovereign Nations” (ESN), Die Welt reported. The daily reported that The AfD invited other Eurosceptic parties to cooperate: Reconquete z France, Confederation from Poland, Renaissance from BulgariaSe Acabó La Fiesta from Spain, Freedom and Direct Democracy from the Czech Republic, Hnutie Republika from SlovakiaOur Homeland Movement with Hungarian and the Union of Nation and Justice of Lithuania.

“Die Welt” points out that although the group has not been constituted yetbut “successful negotiations on further cooperation” were held. The daily reports that the formation of the new faction in the EP is to be officially announced on Wednesday evening.

“Die Welt” points out that the creation of the Europe of Sovereign Nations group AfD invited three of the six MEPs from the Polish Confederation and one of the two MEPs from the Slovak Hnutie Republika.
