Biedroń congratulates the winners

After the exit poll results were announced, Robert Biedroń, co-chairman of the New Left, spoke.

Biedroń began by thanking and congratulating Poles on “the choices that will determine and determine the future of Poland and Europe.” – These elections will be of great importance, not only for our generation, but also for many future generations – he said.

– As the Left, we would like to congratulate the winners – the Civic Coalition – on a very good result, which, taken together with the results of Third Way and the Left, confirms the victory of democratic forces in Poland. This is very good news that will once again flow from Poland to the world – he noted.

As he said, democratic forces in Poland are doing well, which many other European countries cannot boast of. – Today in Europe there are countries that cannot enjoy the elections, whose anti-European and anti-democratic forces have unfortunately gained support. As the Left, we are happy and thank all the voters who gave us a mandate, he said.

Biedroń: the result could have been better

Biedroń emphasized that according to polls, the faction to which the Left belongs will be the second political force in the European Parliament. – We will set the directions of development of the European Union for the coming years – he added.

– Of course, the result could have been better, (…), we resisted anti-European, anti-democratic populists. Such a signal should go from Poland to Europe. We are ready, as the Left, to take responsibility for Europe, he concluded.
