More than 90 members of the new European Parliament do not belong to any of the established factions within it. Some are unattached MPs, some will be in Brussels for the first time. There are many radicals among both, from both the right and the left. The question arises as to what significance these unpredictable forces will have on the European forum. Prof. Anna Pacześniak, a political scientist and Europeanist, sees some threats in this, but also huge opportunities. We checked who the unattached and new MEPs are.
