Justyna Steczkowska will represent Poland at this year's Eurovision with the song “Gaja”. A recording from the singer's performance during national qualifications in just two days was watched by over a million people.
Justyna Steczkowska with the song “Gaja” came first to the final of the Polish preselection to the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, receiving 39.32 percent. viewers' votes. The second place was taken by the song “Mirror” of the Swada and Niczos duo (23.69 percent of votes), and the last place on the podium went to the ballad “Hold the Light by” Dominika Dudka (13.94 percent).
“I am very happy because I will represent our country in Basel in 2025,” said Steczkowska, greeting fans of the competition in a recording published by the official Eurovision profile in social media.
The competition website emphasized that Steczkowska returns to Eurovision after 30 years. The singer represented Poland with the song “Sam” at the 40th Eurovision on May 13, 1995 and took 18th place, receiving 15 points from the jury. This year, the song “Gaja” will perform as part of the first semi -final of the competition, on May 13, exactly 30 years later.
