“The Ministry of National Defense sent the first three planes from Poland to Israel to evacuate Polish citizens from the Tel Aviv airport. The army was involved in the evacuation of Poles from Israel. Two C-130 Hercules transport planes took off from the military base in Powidz near Poznań on Sunday afternoon. They are scheduled to land at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.

In the messages on the X platform, the head of the Ministry of National Defense was quoted by the ministry Mariusz Błaszczak he emphasized that “Hercules planes have appropriate warning and response systems against an attack. The pilots have adequate experience to land in difficult situations (…) A medical team from the Special Forces is also prepared.”

He also added that “the special forces medical team is also on standby.”

As indicated by the Ministry of National Defense, the priority evacuation will be the trip from the music school in Chełm. “Children and guardians are waiting for evacuation at the Tel Aviv airport. The group consists of about 10 people, they will be included in priority evacuation,” the ministry emphasized.

Later, Błaszczak informed on X that a third plane had gone to pick up the Poles. “The third Boeing military plane has just flown from Warsaw to Israel to help evacuate Poles to the country. There are also military medics on board,” he said.

Previously on Polsat News, the president Andrzej Duda reported that no Poles were harmed as a result of Hamas attacks on Israel.
