Ewa Bem, the First Lady of Polish Jazz and this year’s winner of the Golden Fryderyk was on Saturday a guest of the program “You get up and the weekend” on TVN24. The artist told, among other things, about a 50-year career and a unique relationship with the audience. At the end she sang a capella one of her most famous hits.

– This is an award for over 50 years of adventure – not work – on stage. Adventures that happened to me in life – said Ewa Bem on TVN24, commenting on the award of the Golden Fryderyk in the category of jazz music.

The singer talked about her unusual relationship with the audience. – The audience treats me very warmly. People are dear to me. Throughout these 50 years, I have always been open to those who wanted to get to know me. In her private and artistic life – confessed Ewa Bem. She said that she gets from the audience what she gives herself, i.e. “some absolute truth, without embellishing, without miracles, without unnecessary ornaments”.

At the end, the artist treated TVN24 viewers with an a cappella performance (only by tapping a bracelet on a glass of water to the rhythm) of a fragment of her great hit “Give me some sun”. “I messed up the lyrics,” she said after a spontaneous performance.
