The decisions on the delegations were signed by Bogdan Święczkowski, the first deputy of the prosecutor general, Zbigniew Ziobro. One of the “exiled” prosecutors was Ewa Wrzosek from the Warsaw-Mokotów District Prosecutor’s Office, belonging to the Lex Super Omnia association. It was directed to Śrem in Greater Poland, more than 300 kilometers from the capital.
This is the prosecutor Wrzosek On April 23, 2020, she initiated an investigation into the decision to hold presidential elections in a pandemic. On the same day, after three hours, it was discontinued by another representative of the same prosecutor’s office.
Ewa Wrzosek: It was humiliating for me as a prosecutor
On Monday, in the program “Tak jest” on TVN24, prosecutor Ewa Wrzosek, after completing her delegation to Śrem, commented on the situation. As she said, her delegation was “an evident action on the part of prosecutor Święczkowski, which was a quick disciplinary punishment apart from any disciplinary proceedings, an action aimed at silencing prosecutors critical of the functioning of the prosecutor’s office under the rule of Zbigniew Ziobro”.
– It was a certain action that humiliated us professionally, because we did not expect such degradation. I was transferred to an equivalent unit, but there were prosecutors who were delegated from a higher level to district prosecutor’s offices – she pointed out.
– We had to provide ourselves with a place to live, we had to reorganize our entire family and personal life (…). It was a very moving and humiliating event for me as a prosecutor that I was put in this situation – said prosecutor Ewa Wrzosek.
