Vladimir Putin was received in North Korea with full honors. At the Pyongyang airport, apart from Kim Jong Un, a red carpet was waiting for him. There was also an exchange of pleasantries in the limousine.

A fragment of the recording showing Putin and Kim Jong Un standing and discussing near the Aurus car was shown by the independent Russian-language website Meduza. The video of Putin's arrival in the capital of North Korea, Pyongyang, was published in its entirety on the Kremlin's website.

Putin reached the car along a rolled out red carpet. The Russian president invited the North Korean leader to his Aurus, but the latter encouraged him to get in first. After a few seconds of exchange of pleasantries, Putin gave in and got on first.

The two – as reported by the Russian propaganda newspaper “Izvestiaia” – stood next to the limousine and “rivaled” in courtesy. When Kim Jong Un he achieved his goal, Putin got into the car, and the column of vehicles – accompanied by numerous motorcyclists – left the airport.
